Amy Cabaniss, the proprietor, opened Julep's New Southern Cuisine in July, 2003. She has beautifully remodeled the oldest commercial building in the city of Richmond, located in the heart of the historic river district, originally built circa 1817 as a lumber house by Charles Whitlock. Over the next half-century it housed a candle and soap factory, a brewery, a cigar-box maker, a produce market and a locksmith.

Julep's has already been named one of Richmond's “Top Seven Sensations” by Richmond Magazine. The professional and friendly staff, elegant atmosphere and charm of this historic building create a hospitable setting as you savor a fresh mix of flavor that captures the flare of Atlanta, Charleston, New Orleans and Savannah.

Home of the popular "Welcome to Moe's!" greeting and pop-culture inspired menu and atmosphere, Moe's Southwest Grill is a fun and engaging fast-casual concept serving a wide variety of fresh, made-to-order southwest fare.

The first Moe's restaurant opened in Atlanta, GA on December 1, 2000, and offered burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, salads and fajitas. Guests could choose from over 25 fresh ingredients including grilled chicken, steak or tofu. There were meals just for kids, beverages just for adults, and free chips and salsa for all guests to enjoy with every meal. To demonstrate their commitment to freshness, Moe's has never used freezers, microwaves, animal fat, lard, or MSG. Over the years, Moe's has added ground beef, pulled pork, bacon and Junior burritos to the menu and has featured popular limited time offers like the Chicken Club Quesadilla and Phil E. Burrito.

Food quality, safety and customer service are no joke, but aside from that, Moe's tries not to take itself too seriously. For fun, the folks at Moe's gave each menu item a unique name like The Funk Meister taco, Homewrecker burrito, Billy Barou nachos, to name a few, just to keep things interesting. And the music at Moe's is also a good conversation starter. If you listen closely to the tunes playing at any Moe's restaurant, you'll notice all of the songs are performed by dead musicians. Songs from Barry White, Johnny Cash, and most recently, Michael Jackson, have been added to the original play list to honor the sweet sounds of the artists who left us too soon.

History

In 1991, on the campus of the University of Florida, Matt Friedman and Adam Scott had a dilemma......there was no alternative to pizza delivery for students studying late or suffering from the late night munchies. To fill this void, Matt and Adam developed the Wing Zone concept, and with it a great business opportunity. A population of more than 40,000 students was an excellent place to test their theory. A business delivering authentic Buffalo Wings to the campus crowd would be a welcome change to students. Matt and Adam took over the kitchen of their fraternity house after hours and perfected their special sauces and techniques for preparing delicious wings. Any questions as to whether the concept would work were answered when they sold out their first two nights in business. Matt and Adam quickly outgrew the frat house and went on to open two storefront locations in Gainesville.  Today there are Wing Zone restaurants in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Maryland, New Jersey, and Colorado.
